2008 Astra XR
Default Astra in accident.

My fiance had her first accident today on her way to work.

She is ok...the other people are ok. Astra took the worst of it.

Time to learn all about the lack of parts for the car....

Glad everyone's ok. Hope getting it straightened out won't be too much of a hassle--keep us posted.

I really think it looks better with the red background on the Saturn logo removed. I know it wasn't by choice, but it looks really good when it matches the body color, IMO...

I had many problems with my ION with getting body parts two years ago. The headliner never came so the body shop had it custom made even.

Good luck to you

What a coincidence! I just happen to have a jar of half-finished peanuts on my desk within arm's reach. How many peanuts we talking about?

9 days to do $6000+ worth of labor is about right, not an effect of a low volume car. As for the price, what work is involved? What major parts need to be replaced?

Geez, that seems like alot of money. If all the airbags went off would it be considered close to totalled?

I think someone else asked, but what componants have to be replaced? And did the air bags go off? It appears the front bumper, grill, and hood would be replaced plus painted.

My Astra cost about 4400 to fix... no hood and only one headlamp, other than that, was about the same list of stuff... although mine also included the AC fan and condenser... may want to check those.

Mine happened from a 5 - 10 MPH run in with a PT Cruiser.

All parts were available and quickly delivered to the body shop.

That's pretty refreshing to read. Lots of negative speculation around lately, some of which have actually been true nightmares. Let's hope things are heading in an upward direction.
