2003 VUE 3.0L
Default Traction Control

Well AGAIN the traction control warning light came on. I have had issues with this darn thing since the first time it "popped on" three months after we purchased the 07 Outlook.

Called Cincinnati dealer and YEP I will be back on the road again to Cincinnati next week.

Keep hearing the same damn thing, there is a glitch in the computer.

Hells bells if they know what it is FIX IT!

"Hells bells if they know what it is FIX IT!"

When is your warranty done !? That is likely when they'll say it can be repaired with a quick $2000 computer chip replacement.

At the very least make sure ya get everything documented on the repair orders for your personal vehicle file, so (down there) you can sue their .... off when beyond warranty !

good luck with the requisite fix,

doug c

Traction control issues again....I did not get it to Cincinnati as something came up so I had to cancel.

Then the recall on the washer fluid heater.

Then the traction stabilink light came back on last week.

I just took my 07 Outlook up to a dealer on the NW side of downtown Dayton, Reichard Buick (decided against Jake Sweeney over all the trips down and back for the water leaks) and dropped it off for two things:

1. traction control stabilink issue again (5th time I have complained about this to other dealers over the 2.5 years)
2. disconnect the washer fluid heater unit (recall)

Just received a phone call....no the car isn't finished I probably won't get it back until either this Friday or Monday BECAUSE.....

The traction control light was back on AT THEIR DEALERSHIP...WOOHOO!!!! They have determined that is the.....drum roll.....timing chain!

The Outlook is still under WARRANTY and it will be FULLY COVERED!!!

Talk about luck of the draw on this one after reading how much $$ it costs to have this repaired after warranty.

DAMN I am one lucky lady.

Just took the 08 outlook in today for the intermittent serv traction control and stabiltrak light. The dealer said the engine harness was rubbing through and causing the problem, they still have to road test the vehicle wont have it back to tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed as reading some of the issuses other owners had with this problem.

YEP that is why they replace my timing chain last month and GUESS WHAT!!!!

We were on vacation last week in the Smokey Mountains. Car ran just Ok YET

on the way back the damn message warning "stabalink/traction control" came back on again PLUS when the message showed up I SWEAR the motor sounded different.

20 minutes later the message disappeared and the remaining trip home uneventful.

Taking our 07 Outlook back to "Reichard Buick" the authorized Saturn dealer for another look see first thing tomorrow.

CAN ANYBODY SAY.......LEMON LAW? Okay that is what my husband is talking very heavily about today.

I heard from Reichard about 15 minutes ago. They told me that they have to REMOVE A REAR VALVE COVER to take a peek. This is what they have been told by GM to do. Supposedly by doing this they will be able to see the timing chain without pulling the front of the motor off again.

They will not get to this until Monday so looks like it will be Tuesday before....wishful thinking....I get my Outlook back.

GRRRRRR!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!

OH and here what I was also told.....their service department has had SIX OF THESE VEHICLES....NOT JUST SATURN'S....run through their department with the SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

In otherwords I AM GETTING REALLY P-I-S-S-E-D OFF more and more everyday with GM!

And this is why we will NEVER EVER purchase another new or used GM product.

Well the car has been at the dealer for TWO WEEKS.

It needs.....a front piston and camshaft actuator. This is the SECOND time the engine has been torn about since....JUNE!

So now....

WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just called "Reichard Buick/GMC" about my Outlook.

They are STILL WAITING ON A PART!!!!!

The camshaft actuator is on BACKORDER BECAUSE....you want to take a wild assed guess?

PARTS FOR SATURNS ARE HARD TO COME BY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTH!!! And to think GM really really wants to keep us Saturn drivers as customers.

HUMMM wonder what my friends who purchased the LAST Pontiac G8 will do if they need parts???

Guess they will someday be in the same boat as we are....without a paddle and far far far out to sea.

seems like it should be the same part as buick elclave and gmc acadia. probably short of parts because so many are being used.
