Default WTF that da.....leakl

I just dropped the Outlook off at Jake Sweeney

Yep this is my fifth trip in......five weeks

This trip is to have the headliner replaced and I asked a real simple question

"Is there any way you can water test before you install the new headliner?"

The answer was......."I don't know."

WTF!

Okay more later I am having a glass of wine.

That was on my way home so now........

So now I am home and still thinking over the days events.

I have to chuckle because you see they have me driving a "Toyota Corolla".

Last thing I heard about that car was.......accelerator sticking....EEEEKKKK!

So I had to ask the rental agent this very important question...."Is the service department that preturbed with me that they would put me in a rental that.....doesn't stop?....Of course the agent looked surprised and said NO they had fixed all their Toyotas.

So folks REMEMBER THIS EMAIL.

Got to go because there is more wine in my future tonight and the "boys" Jake and Elwood, our own personal "Blues Brothers", are enjoying the outside like I am, on the deck sending emails out listening to the birds and.....keeping an eye out on our neighbor "felons".

Is your car leaking again or is it just finishing up from the previous repair?
The Corolla should be fine. The alleged stuck accelerators may have happened in about 50 cars out of 2-3 million that were sold. You have a much greater chance of getting into an accident the old fashioned way (ie, idiot runs a red light) than your gas pedal sticking.

This was the final trip to have the headliner replaced.

"Mark" at Jake Sweeney assured me that the service department has "checked/tested" all the drain hoses and none are leaking.

So come on rain let's see what happens.

As for the Corolla I have to say not a bad little car. Only thing is people just don't see smaller cars on the roadways. On my way to Cincinnati this afternoon there were two occasions where another person wanted to move over into the lane I was driving in the exact spot where I was.

With small cars you have to drive like a "maniac" to be seen.
A Corolla is a lot nicer car than my ION, that's for sure.

Does anyone out there have the TSB # on the GENERAL WATER LEAK DIAGNOSTIC REPORT. My 2008 Saturn Outlook has had numerous water leaks and the dealer has been very helpful in the matter. Now I have a new one it's under the right side of the dashboard where the blower motor is located.

That could be your a/c condinsation drain or, believe it or not, there is a nother drain tube for the sunroof there. My Outlook leaked there once but I don't remember which it was. But don't know of any TSB on it.

Is the leak fixed? I had an "ordeal" with a leak. It turned out to be a seam wasn't welded/sealed properly. They squireted 3 cents worth of RTV in it and hasn't dripped in 2 years....

Of course, they had to drop the headline, pour water all over the roof before they could find the source of the leak. Had to be assertive with the dealer to get the leak truly fixed (they had to call GM to get the approval before dropping the headliner).

So far after FOUR attempts at repairing and replacing drain lines it hasn't leaked. The FIFTH trip was for the replacement of the headliner.

YIPPEE!!!!
