Default 2009 Saturn Aura 3.6 v6

I own a 2009 Saturn Aura 3.6 v6 and recently i started having trouble with what i thought was my transmission, so i took it to the GM dealership and they called and told me that my left and center catalytic converters where what needs to be replaced and to do that would cost me 2000.00, money i don't have. Then they preceded to tell me that not getting it fixed would cause my transmission to go out in as little as 6 months... I need some advice on what to do i don't have that kind of money. Is there any way around it??????

I'm not sure if you have the right terminology or not. The catalytic converter has nothing to do with your transmission. Also, there are only front and rear catalytic converters, not left and right. Do you have a check engine light? I think you need a second opinion.

Dealers always charge too much. If you are in a pinch you could buy them off ebay for 140 each and call a muffler shop and get a quote. 2g is outta this would. I have been waiting for issues on my exhaust I want to put a system in (High flows)

This. It should be under warranty unless you are over the 80K. Take it to a GM dealer that is servicing Saturns. You can find them here:

I've had to replace both. A muffler place will do it for about 1/2 that. When I told the dealer I could get it done for that price, they matched it. The first was under warranty, the 2nd was recent and I am over 80k. They did it with labor for $500.
