Question "..timing chain stretch problem on 07 and 08."

Mentioned over in http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=150174

What are the symptoms of this problem ?

I'm familiar with groans/creaks from my semi-retired '86 honda, but the '08 XE still wonder what is just normal operating noises.
ex. abs brakes geeeeez ! or going round a corner deep groan and slow down but quits right away, before i can glance down to see if it is the stabilitrak just kicking in on the loose snow or wet surface . . .

thanks for any info,
doug c

TSB 07-06-01-014 might apply to this issue.

Just had this work done on my '07. Full day in the shop. Symptoms Check Engine light - off and on over a couple weeks. Perhaps some sluggishness and rich smell on startup (that could just be me be overly sensitive while the light was on).

Anyways - quick diagnosis with the computer - I think it was P108 - cam shaft sensor..

So far a good fix - and from the Former Pontiac dealer as our Saturn dealer has now become a Suzuki dealer.
