My 2001 Saturn SL1 used to stall at stop signs and the service engine soon light came on. I received error code p0340 on my scanner (camshaft position sensor). I was told there is no camshaft position sensor for an sl1. After days of research I fixed the car by doing the following:
1. Replaced spark plugs 2. Replaced spark plug wires 3. Replaced both coil packs (that's where the spark plug wires lead to) 4. Replaced ignition module (that's the plate that the coil packs attach to) Problem solved for under $270. The car now runs smooth with no stalling or engine lights or error codes. You can clean the parts above if you want to do it cheaper but I prefer to replace things that need cleaning since I am not a mechanic. *** Make sure to sand or wire brush away all corrosion between the ignition module and the engine block where it mounts since that can cause the ground to short out.

Welcome to the forums!
NGK plugs usually solve this pending code.
