Found out why car stereo wasn't working....
I was able to take a better look at the 92 Saturn SC that I picked up the other day, and found out why the radio wasn't powering on. It was a blown fuse. I guess that the second to last owner "wired up" 4 6x9 speakers in the rear deck with a custom shelf. Problem is, the wiring noob (which I will refer to him as for the remainder of this post) didn't wire everything together; there are loose speaker wire leads just dangling in the trunk. I could slap whoever thought that was a good idea. I mean for Christ sakes, if he wasn't going to finish the job, at the very least he should have taped the ends off and secured the wires.
Another thing I noticed, is that the wiring noob had to have wired everything incorrectly. Only one of the front door speakers works, and it only outputs treble, no bass. The driver side door speaker does jack squat.
I'm half tempted to post pictures as a "what not to do" tutorial for aftermarket speaker wiring and installation, lol.
