Just purchased a 2000 LS1.
Some of the instrument panel lights are out. The left side of the tachometer and the indicator needles of both the tach and speedometer. From what I researched, the bulbs are only available at dealers. Is this true? Also, am I looking replacing 1,2 or 3 bulbs? Thanks MIke

A site called www.autolumination.com carries these bulbs. You may also try a local auto parts store. The best is to remove the instrument cluster and pull one of the bulbs out and take it to the store. I advise to change all of the bulbs at once because if three are burned out you have about 6 or 8 more about to go. Removing the cluster is rediculously easy.

The bulbs in question can be replaced with Wagner p/n PC118. These can be found at NAPA for ~$1.50/ea.
I also agree that you might as well change them all while you have the I/P cluster out. ... 2000 SC2 5-spd, H&R Sport springs, KYB struts, AEM CAI, Hotshot header, Prothane engine mount inserts, 1995 Teardrop II wheels, Saturn Ion MP3 stereo, heated upstream O2 sensor...231K miles

I highly recommend
http://superbrightleds.com. I find the best fit for my cluster was the B8.5 LEDs, and they work very well. Just navigate their site and get into the car instrument cluster bulbs, then look for the B8 series. There are several different options, I recommend B8.5.

I've found that sometimes changing bulbs is not the answer. Poor socket contact was mine, x2.
I changed the bulbs with new - same prob. Before you reinstall the trim, etc, turn the lights on and verify. ... "I used to work at a factory where they made hydrants; but you couldn't park anywhere near the place." - Steven Wright
