Default XL fuel line -

What is it? I was under the car changing my alternator, when I found this hose hanging down. Never seen it before. Does it connect to something? I really need to know within the next 15 or 20 minutes. I have to get the car on the ground and go to work. Thanks in advance.

One end is connected to the top of the bell housing.

It's still sitting in there, halfway out.

Manual transmission? Its the transmission vent tube. The end slids onto a nipple on the shift tower. Other end clips to one of the transmission to block bolts.

My mistake. I didn't have enough light yesterday. It's attached to the shift tower now. Do you have a picture of where the other end goes? It doesn't appear to clip on, it's just the end of the hose. How important is this?

It's just a vent, so secure it upright somewhere & it should be fine.

Thanks for the pic, Mike. When you originally said it clips on the other end, I thought you meant that the open end of the hose fits into something to complete a bridge. Your hose appears to be capped, mine isn't. Should it be?
