Default Just hit 75k miles

2008 Aura. Picked it up w/ 19 on the clock in Feb of 2008. Been rollin' hard ever since. Only issue is I can get the TMPS to resync and display for the right positions.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

You have gone through the setup mode and lower air pressure in each tire clockwise from drivers front? And it wont resync?

I haven't done any engine stuff yet (other than oil changes). Its all highway miles, so I'm gonna hold off on Trans fluid til 100k. Not sure what else I need to worry about. I also did the brakes at 45 k, and looks like I'll switch out the brakes and rotors once I hit 80k

As for the TPMS, I followed the directions from the manual, even brought down my front tire by about 15 or 16 psi, and still doesn't recognize it.

It'll work, you just didn't let enough air out.
I had to take them down to about 10 to 15 PSI before the horn sounded. It is advisable to have a compressor handy so you can inflate them after deflating.

Another reason NOT to use Nitrogen

I had this issue when i was resyncing my TPMS as well. I was going about it the wrong way though i think.

I read the manual and interperted it to say that you keep letting air out until the horn sounds. But when i started doing that the horn never sounded....that is until i stopped... as i moved on to the next three tires i relized you only have to let air out for about 3-5 seconds, then when you stop letting the air out the horn will honk. So the trigger, i found to be anyway, is when you stop letting the air out the system then tells you its synced with that tire and you can move on.

I hope this helps out. don't want all you guys deflating all of your tires!
