I have a question about 2007 Vue Keyless Remote. My Vue came with a keyless remote with the following markings on the back of the remote: GM# 21997127 FCCID LHJ011. I bought two additional new remotes with markings: GM# 15913420 FCC ID: OUC 60270. A couple of web sites sell this type of remote for 2007 Vue. However, my local GM dealer could not program the two new remotes. They were able to remove and add the old LHJ011 remote with Tech II computer. They checked the two new ones and found that they did emit signals.
What is going on? The two new remotes are the wrong type, or should I try again at a Saturn dealership (the nearest one is 1.5 hours away)? Please give me some suggestions. Thanks!

Baffling to be sure ... and for what its worth ... my 2005 Vue fobs are numbered same as the "working" one you have.
I've bought several RKE fobs for other vehicles from eBay and guess I've been fortunate as they were programmable to work as advertised - without exception. It probably has little value for you but I've attached the RKE section from factory service manual. It applies to 2005 Vue but since your fobs have the same number not much appears to have changed.

Thanks for your reply.
I assume you bought additional keyless remotes that are identical to your working one(s) and had them programmed by a dealer. Am I right?

If your local GM dealer can't manage to get them to work with a Tech2, then going to a Saturn dealer will be no different. and using a Tech2 isn't going to tell them if your remotes are working or not, it's just going to tell them if they're working for your car.
I suspect that if you buy another remote with the same GM part number, it will work.

The "other" fobs were either self-programmable (Dodge minivan), or in case of a Ford pickup, a local locksmith. IMO the requirement for dealers to complete Vue RKE programming (perhaps same for all newer GM) creates another revenue stream for them. I accept that for what it is ... we all have to make a living. Finally, D C offers sound advice - buy a fob with same number as your original and go to any participating GM dealer - I understand all use Tech2. Good luck!

Does anyone know how much a dealer charges to program RKE remotes? It's literally an under 5-minute job.
