Vue Nav screen in an Aura ??

I'm wondering if the Nav screen/radio unit from the 09 Vue would fit in the Aura ?? Any thoughts or experiences ??

Anything will fit if you have a big enough Sawsall.
If you don't have one you can borrow mine. It can even make your Aura Convertible.

lol...pretty funny. I ask because it seems all Saturn radio packs appear to be the same size...I'm wondering if its merely a matter of swapping one out for the other.

Like Phaeton said, im sure it can fit - worst case is you need to saw a bracket or two.

The real question is will it work.

It says DVD based nav - so you would have to run it under seat. Will the radio hookups work? how dose GPS antennae etc work.

I am sure someone on here knows or has a good idea.

I like the idea of the vue radio/nav as it would look more OEM in the aura then a crazy after market one.

And a quick trip to your Saturn dealer to have the replacement Vue unit programmed to your Aura serial number. Programming has to be done by the dealer on a GM Tech II. And do all peripherial equipment interconnects on the Vue work exactly like the Aura. In other words, a lot of stuff in the Aura goes through the radio (warning tones, steering wheel controls, On-Star, XM, and the list goes on). I doubt you will get the Vue unit working properly and retain all the Aura interconnections. I would find somebody who has actually done this for advice first...

Took a trip to my dealer...talked to 5 different people and none of them could give me a 100% yes it will work. I'm back here looking for somebody who might have some experience with this.

My guess is it wont work. if i remember the aura and the vue have a different lan system, and possibly different harnesses. I would say there is probably no chance of it working.

I went aftermarket a long time ago. I think i was one of the first people on here to put an aftermarket nav in. Was not that difficult and most aftermarket units are better.

I have bluetooth, ipod connection, i can stream bluetooth, usb connections to hook up jump drives or hard drives, system plays dvds, backup camera if you want, etc.

I've been doing research on here and also noticed the 'Lan" issue. I have no idea what a Lan in a car is..I do know that in computers it means Local Area Network but in a car I have no clue.

I want to do this too, but in my experience, I doubt it will work.
