Default 2001 SC2 gags for air/fuel

Greetings,

Any ideas would be appreciated.

2001 SC2
87,000 miles

problem - occasional poor performance
seems to "gag" for air or fuel

fix: wiggle the connector on the temp sensor
that is near the air cleaner -this
sensor is in front of the air cleaner
on side of the plastic air duct.

fix lasts for about 1 hr of running time

replaced : the temp sensor and also the connector that
clips onto it.

sometimes runs great, other times "gags"
seems to run great for about first 30 seconds upon start up
check engine light permanently on
mpg down about 3 mpg

Anyone heard of a pattern of problems with this
temp sensor?

thanks for any help

Hi
Thanks for response

code was a lean cylinder with my
cheap code reader

at shop they said there were many codes
in the memory - they would clear them all
and see what codes appeared from a fresh
start if I wanted to have them do it

but I am trying to avoid the cost since overall
I can get by

my original post above was hoping for a commonly
known fix if this were a common SC2 issue.

That's not a code, that's a description. The code(s) will be five characters, a letter followed by four digits, probably beginning with P0. Get the code(s) and report them here.
