2001 SL1
Default New member, new(er) Saturn

Hi All,
Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
Just brought home a 2001 SL1 with only 95000 kms to replace my beloved `97 SL1 that blew a head gasket at only 240000kms.
Quite happy with it so far, I like the subtle exterior and interior changes
while retaining some of the old DNA.
Was an armrest/storage compartment ever offered as an accessory as in the older models that can be installed between the two front seats?
It`s something I kind of got used to with the `97 and would love to have another.
Thanks!
Mike

Yes, the 3rd gen SLs have center console with arm rest / storage compartment.
My '01 SL2 came with one, really like the sliding/adjustable armrest. Just don't like that when it is in the far forward position, you can no longer use the cup holder. Ha!
Go hunting at your local JY, you may get lucky.

Congrats on your '01. I like the 3rd gen interiors more, but I prefer the 2nd gen exteriors more. I'm sure she'll treat you right. Checking oil, and not ever letting her overheat, you really shouldn't see any HG problems with her.
