Saturn sunroof

Is it possible to have the Saturn sunroof installed, or I must go with an aftermarket non-saturn brand? I realllllly like the way the huge sunroof looks in the 5 door...

I'm afraid the only way to install the OEM sunroof in a car that didn't come with one would be to chop off the entire top of a wrecked car (from the tops of the pillars) and transplant it to the new one. If the Astra is like any other car with an optional available sunroof, the roof itself is completely different on the inside due to the layout of structural bracing beneath the skin.

I'm unsure of the 5dr, but the headliner in the 3dr has a contoured bulge from the rear view mirror that goes back for quite some distance. On a 3dr, you'd either have to locate the sunroof further back than normal, or "crush" the bulge flat at the leading edge of the sunroof opening (which might create creases or otherwise look "odd").

What I really wished Opel imported into the North American market was the 3dr with the panoramic windshield. Unlikely that it would pass NA crash tests, however. I would have eagerly paid $2000 more just for having a feature like that that was so unique.
