2006 ION Red Line
Default mileage drop after re-flash

My 09 Outlook -2,500k- was shifitng stupid and dealer installed trans and engine current software updates. I now get 2 mpg less. Anyone else with same experience or suggestions for chg?

The service manager explained it this way - "The computer has to re-learn your driving methods, as it did when you first bought the Outlook. Give it a while - it will come back to normal". Mine did, after a few weeks. Be patient.

depending on what the reflash entailed, it could also be the way things work. I know the reflash that was done on my '07 XR says right in the TSB that a mileage drop will be noticed after the flash is performed.
