I'm sure I'll never get a letter from Saturn. They could never get my name/address right, even after multiple attempts to give the correct one to them.

One has to wonder how they were even able to sell me a car and give the proper info to the bank, state, etc.

It smells of formaldehyde.

Only fitting GM would screw over a great car company like that and send us this letter...

Has anyone ever wondered - where are all those old Saturns we used to see everywhere? I used to see SL2s all over and now I hardly see any.

When I do see someone they don't seem like a Saturn lover. They just seem like they bought a cheap ride and some seem kinda scary, not like in the old days, where people waved at each other.

GM really effed up.

Got my letter. Not sure of the point. If you need service go to a GM dealer. If you need body work, call tupperware. Thanks Jill...

Got my 'Dear John,' letter too and don't really see the point. A good thing is I guess it gets a few hundred K paper letters out, so GM is supporting the stationary makers and providing a bit of cash to the Postal service.

I guess it all depends. I have been keeping the Saturn wave alive in my small town for years and to this day Saturn owners, especially the older model owners smile and wave back knowing what it's all about.

In this very small town where most people know your name and your business, many still refer to me as the "SaturnMan". I still know and talk with many of the people who I sold their cars to and many will stop to ask how I am doing first then re-assuredly tell me that they still love their car.

The wave is still alive, at least in this small town - and the compassion of owners of those first small plastic bodied cars will go on.

It's nice to know there is one person left who remembers! Your SL2 looks new! Here in SoCal, I see unfriendly migrant workers etc driving them usually (nothing against hard working people, just some people don't look that friendly). I heard someone at a newsstand told me he bought his for $1,000 or something and it was all he could afford.

So I figured in SoCal that's what the original Saturns mean - cheap transport. Oh well. If I see an original Saturn next to me, I will turn my head, not really to wave, but I notice no one looks over. Kinda sad.

It's really GM's fault for not embracing the brand into the future.

Got mine in the mail. Really a sort of an anti climax. Hit the "whatever" response button in me.

I'll keep it with the rest of my Saturn memorabilia. It will go well with any old GM stock certifcates I can score: worth nothing, but interesting in an historical context.Reminders of squandered opportunity, mismanagement and corporate arrogance. Rethink. GM.
