Default bulb check for instrument cluster

I had to chase a quad driver module failure and replaced the bulbs for the SES and Shift light.

When putting things back together my day time runnung light indicator, hazard lights, and hibeam indicator stopped working.

As I slid the collum up the day time running light bulb came on but I couldn't get others to work

When the lamp check happens when the ignition is first turned on does it illuminate the turn signal indicators and hi-beam indicator?

its a 1996 SL1 1.9L

So I'm probably looking at replacing the assembly behind the steering wheel...my hazards don't work either with no blown fuses. That gizmo must have gotten tweeked while I was in denile and tried to get the I-Cluster out without droping the collom all the way?????

Sinse it does the headlights, hazards, turnsignals, and wipers.....

Here are great instructions on how to remove the I-Cluster. http://www.differentracing.com/tech_...99cluster.html

Did you replace any bulbs for these indicator lights?

I replaced both the SES light and the up shift light (even though I have an automatic) It also should be looking at the cooling fan and A/C relay. Hence the Quad part of the manufacture level diagnostic code.

I did notice my SES light not comming on on occasion. The service soon (wrench) was on while driving and The guy at advanced auto had a crappy scanner which only picked up the #1 cyl missfire I had caused and fixed a while ago. (but was still in the history)

I finally went to a garage friend with a real scanner and found out it was the quad driver codes and tore it apart to fix. I must have blown the fuse for the hazard lights while scraping off the connectors. Everything is now fine with a fuse replacement.

For everyones info....the high beam indicator is fed by the hazard fuse in the engine bay J-box.

I just bought an Innova 3130 scanner that will read up to the manufacture specific codes as well as all the OBDII codes and it will also look at the live data streem. I hate relying on others and it would cost me too much to upgrade my Snap-on MT2500 to read OBDII card. (connector, access keys, etc)
