MAn That is incredible. Gas running like diesel, Wide ope throttle body with air and fuel controlled by computer and valve opening duration. Efficiency of a diesel and performance of a gas engine all the while running gasoline, E85 or Ethanol. Amazing. But will Penskee be able to use the technology or just GM?

The MPG gains aren't any better then a Hybrid. If they were running a V6 in the Aura, wouldn't they get better fuel economy with a 2 cylinder shut down like on the Silverado compared to this?

This is also a helluva lot cheaper than a hybrid add-on. No big expensive battery. AFM is a secondary option for running above 60mph, when HCCI cuts out.
