Default Where Can a good cheap torque Wrench be had?

I'm looking for a torque wrench that does inch pounds for use on my 97' sc2 valve cover.

Northern has one for $39 http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...3474_200263474

I know autozone has one.

Home depot?

Any suggestions would be great. I don't really want to have it Shipped

For what it's worth- if you have a Harbor Freight Tools near you, they may be worth checking out. Their line of tools is made by a company called Pittsburgh...some of their stuff is good and some of it is crap, but in my experience; most of the tools they sell- they sell them for dirt cheap and they work good.

You had Virginia Beach listed in your avatar and looks like there is one in Norfolk. Not sure how far this would be from you.

I bought this one several years ago:
http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-to...ench-2696.html
It is actually a decent torque wrench. I never have my torque wrenches calibrated so I am not sure of its accuracy. But it seems to get the job done

When the torque wrenches were on sale I had meant to get one at HF. I'm sure they're not "good" but they're cheap and likely "good enough".

Three Harbor Freight recommendations. So I just returned from buying one at Harbor Freight. The guy at the checkout said I should wait until next month for the torque wrench sale. He said my $29.99 Wrench would only be $9.99 next month. He also said that if I didn't want to wait that I could just bring in my receipt next month and they'll pay me the difference. We'll see how that goes. Either way I got a torque wrench. So now I can start on my Valve cover this week

I kind of remember only paying around $10 for mine too. I guess I got it during a sale. Back then we didn't have Harbor Freights in NJ. So mine came mail order.
HF has some good deals on decent to very good tools. they also have some very ****ty tools. You just gotta weigh the options when buying

I should get one too. I'd get one for $10. Might not be totally accurate but "good enough" for $10 works for me. I need to up my post count before the forum will let me post images so I'm going to go around posting for a bit.

HF.....

You can check the calibration yourself, and adjust the dial if necessary.

I have a 3/8" wrench from Harbor Freight. I need a 1/4" to do my shift kit for my Tbird, so thanks for the heads up on the 1/4" going to be $10 in March.... I'll wait for it
