Brendan Moran from GM High-Tech Performance: Thankfully the engineers at GM did their homework before adding boost to the Ecotec mill. Instead of simply adapting the 2.4L mill in the naturally aspirated base model, the Red Line features the LNF Ecotec 2.0t.

2008 SKY Red Line
Default Re: Bolt-Ons Help a Saturn Sky Red Line Prove it Has More in Common with the C6 Than

If Mr P. does decide to have the next SKY based on that Renault coupe, they are going to have to rag-top it!!!!

(And grow some humps of course..... even if only to tick off the head of GM's Chevy division - you know, get him all twitchy about Corvette competition all over again - what a dufus......)

Did someone just compare a C6 and a Sky?

takes a lot more than a torque curve / horsepower to make a vehicle a sports car, the C6 is my first V8 performance car as i've built and drove turbo 4 poppers for most of my life... but comparing a sky to a c6 is plain ridiculous.

It's a little less ridiculous than you think.

Really, the platforms are both pretty similar. It's too bad they didn't make a targa top style Sky, it'd really have been a poor man's Corvette. And it'd have taken care of the biggest issue of the Sky/Solstice (the crappy top/lack of space with the top down).

The top is easy to put up and take down, and there are a few simple rules for the SKY:
NO drinking, NO smoking, NO back seat drivers, and NO Samsonite!

I don't like how the top works on the Sky/Solstice. It'd have been better if it was automated, but that woulda been expensive/heavy I guess. It storing under the trunk does make for a nice clean look, but I don't like how you've got to get out of the car to deal with it.

I think a shooting brake Sky would have been sick.

THey ~2002 opel speedster should have been the Sky Gen1.

No top- standard. Who the hell drives one of these in the rain, anyway? They're classics now, as are their pontiac clones.
