2003 VUE 2.2L
Default 2003 VUE recall

I just took my 2003 VUE in for it's first oil change, and they also
had to perform service to my transmission due to a recall. Does
anyone know what recall campaign 03c01001 entailed?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

What kind of engine/transmission does your VUE have? I'm due for my first change soon so I'm curious..

I think it might have had something to do with the VTI transmission.

Saturn has some other name for a recall, a recall is one that the government makes them do, the other is one they do voluntarily. I'm still getting used to a lot of Saturn euphemisms so I have forgotten what it is called.

Now it might have nothing to do with that at all.

Transmission wiring as I recall to prevent too much pressure build-up under unusual operating conditions (switch on repeatedly w/o starting).

The non-forced "recalls" are "Service Campaigns."

Ricksvue: my VUE is a 4cy, AWD...the link below about the subject
being talked about is quite informative. Indeed, it was a wire replacement and software tweek. It took about an hour. The only negative side, it looks like they have to disconnect the battery to do it, I had to reset my clock and reprogram the radio stations.
No biggie...they told me by law they had to do it while I was
present...I just wish they had come out after 40 minutes or so and told me what was taking so long.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
