Default How Much Trans Fluid '02 SC2

When I change the trans fluid & filter. I can measure what comes out but I think the previous owner has to much trans fluid (stick has been a pain to read but think it could be high).

I have the Haynes repair guide but I do not know if all the fluid comes out in their estimate or some is left up somewhere in the tranny and their estimate would be an overfill.

Anyone had one since new and done a dump with an accurate measurement, or what does any one suggest. Again, suspect I have too much in currently, so I do not necessarily want to go off what I measure out.

Regards

General hint: don't look in a Haynes/Chilton manual for information that's in the owner's manual.

Thanks for the info! just wanted to make sure recommended amounts were change amounts and not something else (like complete rebuild amounts etc.).
