Default Check engine light - emissions problem?

My 2007 Aura XR, 65,000 miles is showing a check engine light. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and the light cleared. Two or three days later the check engine light returned. I noticed that under hot restart conditions (example, stop in a gas station and refuel) the car takes two tries of the key before it fires up and runs.

I then went to Autozone and had it scanned. Here is what the scan reads:

"EVAP flow during a non-purge condition"

"The ECM has detected pressure in the EVAP system during a non-purge condition"

"Possible cause"
1 - Purge or vent solenoid failure
2 - Plugged EVAP canister condition
3 - Failed EVAP pressure sensor

Can anyone recommend a next step for trouble shooting or repair?

Thanks,
Spud

Not sure if this would be considered part of the power train warranty and covered by GM. If not you need a good mechanic.
It could be as simple as something blocking the tube from the gas tank to the canister, the canister might need to be opened and cleaned out (purged), or it might be a leaking/blocked vacuum line to the canister, a faulty solenoid in the in/out vapor lines to the canister.
Of course as is the case with every other computer sensor system. it might be a fault in the wiring from the sensor to the computer or a faulty sensor, or one of a hundred seemingly unrelated items.

Good luck
