Default Got my scanner, some info inside to decode....

So some of you may know I just picked up my 97 sc2 couple weeks ago. It had a CEL which hasnt reappeared since I ran seafoam through it. I bought a cheap ebay scanner anyways, and pulled the codes and did a WOT run to find out some information on o2 stats also.

p0341 was the code I believe, other was EGR circuit low.

02's under wot were between 925-950, so that is good.

LTFT's under cruise were -2.3% so its slightly rich.

Heres the big thing. Coolant temperature during cruise etc stayed around 73-74*C. Im almost positive that is low, and could explain part of the slightly rich condition. My temp gauge reads a sliver over 1/4 usually.

What can I take from this?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

If your ECTS and connector are known to be good and clean, the 73 C report corresponds to about 163 F, and that implies a stuck-open T-stat.

P0341: Camshaft position sensor circuit range/performance. This DTC will determine if the cam is synchronized correctly. it sets if the cam signal falls in the wrong location three times.

Th EGR low may have been a P0405?

Yes thats right. I read that on Saturns p0341 has to do with bad plugs/wires/coil pack connections? Is this true?

And 0405 was the code for EGR

These cars run rich from the factory.

I'll be sitting at my desk
With a gun in my hand, wearing a bulletproof vest singing
"My, my, my, how the time does fly, when you know you're going to die
By the end of the night."
