Syracuse Saturn Retailer Ready to Leave Shrinking General Motors Galaxy

Quote:
Rick Moriarty from the Post-Standard: When he bought the two Saturn dealerships in Onondaga County in 2006, Emmanuel Boykin planned to move both into a brand-new facility, built with green technology, in the Syracuse area. Then, six months ago, General Motors dropped a bomb of sorts on Boykin's plans.

When the holding company goes bankrupt, the subordinate company is also bankrupt.

Pontiac also had a huge following for the past 3/4 of a century.

Yeah the current sales really speak those words well on its customer following

We wil have to see if a deal really does go through with a buyer or not

Hey S-Series Guy, do I denote a little sarcasm in your comment regarding the sales of Saturns. I worked for a Saturn retail facility in Louisiana for 15 years mostly as a finance manager, little as a sales manager and also as a sales consultant. we had an absolute horrible month when we sold 55 new units and would barely be at a break even point. the same retail facility is barely selling 30 cars a month and I can't even imagine what the profit/loss ratio is now. Anyway, unfortunately a lot of damage has been done by GM, and I don't see Saturn recovering to the glory days. What say you?
