Ok, so if Renault takes over Saturn we would get the Clio possibly? Cause that would be friggin sweet! But on the other hand, what happens with the Astra????

On another note:

"Renault appears to be the third potential suitor for Saturn. Also in line are Roger Penske and private equity firm Black Oak Partners."

I would rather see Saturn die then be in the hands of Roger Penske! lmao...

...
'92 SL2 - 108,000 miles (traded)
'96 SL2 - 312,000 miles (blew up)
'98 SL2 - ??????? miles (parts car)
'99 SL2 - 168,000 miles (Sold 11/08)
'08 Astra - 131,000 miles and counting!

The Astra is built by Opel, Vauxhall, and Holden all are owned by GM. All are having the same money problems as GM. So GM is also looking for someone to buy control of OPEL in order to save it. Again thats been on the internet for weeks ... no make that months.

VW is 5th? I call shens on any list where VW is anywhere near the top. I owned one and I know better. Me thinks the fact that it's a GERMAN reliability list has something to do with it.

VW is considered reliable in Europe. I don't know if you guys don't follow the service schedule or if the mexicans tinker with your VW's but something is different.

The list looks familiar so I guess Toto snatched it from ADAC, and it's based on actual roadside assistance calls. Early Méganes are pretty poor, but after all reliability is boring and nobody buys a new car based on reliability. 2002 was the first MY for the just retired Mégane.

Ok, im well aware of it bein on the internet for months. im also aware that the Astra is an opel, vaux, and holden. yet again, i am aware of the GM money situation. my question still stands, what happens to the astra? suppose Penske or an independent company buys Saturn, would they build all new cars or what? would this leave us out to dry completely as far as parts or would they still be able to make them available? I may have not made it clear the first time. my bad.

I'm happy your aware now go read the articles again, this time read the entire artical. Doing so might give you some insight to your main question when it comes to the Saturn carline and if the ASTRA will be in it.

Or we could just put it this way You have no idea, I have no idea, and GM has no idea whats to become of the ASTRA in North America.
