Default TCM reset?

My car has been acting up and needs to have the tcm reset im pretty sure were can I get that done or can I do it myself? I prefer not to pay a ton of money to get a simple scan tool hooked up and flash my tcm.

unless te mechanic has spent a boat load of money to get the tech 2 tool, the dealership is your only option, last time I checked, very few have them.
