Default Saturn of Atlanta is Excited About the Future of Saturn

A new story entry has been added:

Saturn of Atlanta is Excited About the Future of Saturn

Quote:
In the midst of these unprecedented economic times, Saturn and General Motors have come to the realization the two companies do not share the same vision for the future. In that light, Saturn retailers throughout the United States are planning to establish independent ownership of the Saturn brand. One possibility would be to create the Saturn Distribution Corporation (SDC).

That's exactly why I'm not excited about any potential future for Saturn. It will become nothing more than a distributor for some other manufacturer, most likely foreign. What was lost at Spring Hill will not be recaptured.

Saturn Distribution Corporation...ugh, that's horrible!

How can it be excited about Saturn's future when there's no finalized direction where or what this brand is going to be. That's the whole problem right now. The one and only thing we know for certain so far is GM doesn't want the brand anymore.

I have hope and am excited about what Saturn CAN become in the future. The idea of Saturn returning to its roots brings a smile to my face. Wait no, a big smile.

This could be a fabulous outcome.

With the over capacity in the industry, any manufacturer would LOVE to have a wholesale buyer for hundreds of thousands of units/year.

Saturn could choose the best platform(s) from the best auto manufacturer and then have the manufacturer customize it to Saturn specs.

Saturn would need to come up with a compelling and consistent "theme" for its product line; one example: "Polymer Paneled Affordable Driving Machines"

What we would then have is "The finest automobiles in the world with the finest sales and service network"

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
