Default watching Richpin's GPS video

so i just watched Richpin's GPS install video. he showed using the power window relay spot for a switched ignition power.
does that mean that the power wire is there even on cars without power windows?
can i use that wire for other things? how much power can i run through there?

semi-sorta-kinda-just barely related question - the three little buttons above the radio (where the defrost button is) - my car only has the defrost button, can i grab one od those from a j/y and its harness, and use those buttons for other things? are they click on/click off buttons, or something different?

Yes the power wire is there even on cars without power windows. On a 98 it is routed through the IGN 3 fuse which is rated at 10A.Now on your 95 it is routed through the same fuse but is rated at 7.5A so don't put a amp or wide widescreen tv on there................

Thoroughly OT, but a big THANK YOU to you, richpin.

I spent a few hours at the local library downloading youtube videos; got them all on DVD now

I'm ready for just about anything (once it gets warm )

Ooooh....

Assuming you are running WinXP, select the folder your videos are in and right-click, select "send to compressed folder". This will zip them into a single file in the same folder. (you don't really get much additional compression, it just makes it easier to upload as a single file than a bunch of small files)

Next, upload them to a free file-hosting site. Some ideas:
www.yousendit.com <- This has a 2 gb limit
www.filedropper.com <- I think this has a 5 gb limit

Then post links for us lunatics who want better vid than YouTube

Seriously, for 99% of the stuff, YT works fine. I'd think you would only want better quality to show certain parts, like where a crack on a circuit board is, a resistor that burns out a lot, or something like that.
