Dizzy 93 sl2 has battery won't crank

Hello My 93 sl2 was starting just fine till suddenly this morning after 2 weak attempts to start now will not crank at all. Headlights, dashlights working. the ideas I have found so far are: starter? clutch pedal switch? battery cables (not the ones connected to the battery posts)?
The tow truck driver and I pop-started it... he pushed and I popped.
Somewhere I read that older Saturns are notorious for battery cable troubles. I won't be able to attempt the repair myself but I'd like to
know what I'm in for when it gets to my mechanic.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Well, you're either on the third or fourth battery and need to know how old a battery lasts in your neck of the woods, the very real possibility of old and damaged battery cables that needs a visual inspection for severe corrosion underneath each terminal that attaches to the battery posts, and if you're still on the original starter. Eliminate the battery first with a battery test available from most auto stores, second to carefully inspecting for cable wear and replacement, and thirdly whether the starter is original by either removing and testing at the same store for battery testing. Do the easy things first leaving the hard part last, the starter.
