Default Headlights keep going off, and need to tap lens to turn on...

Sigh....it wasn't so bad when the weather was warm, but here in Manitoba, it's been COLD lately.

The right lowbeam light has been replaced, but it seems to be shorting out or something. If you tap the headlight lens in the right place, it will come back on. Now it's happening with the left light, too.

It is a 1995 SL1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, cause right now, I have no clue.
Thank you!
Kristine

could be a ground issue. my fogs are doing that right now, and i know they have a ground issue (my fault. waiting for the snow to clear to fix 'em)

Now that you mention it, the problem DID start when we changed out the right bulb last Christmas. But we haven't touched the left, and it's doing the same thing. I guess we'll have to open it up and check the grounding.

The extreme cold is likely causing the issue. The ground is not great, so the cold is making things worse. Could be a loose connection,or wire somewhere.
