Question Sticky lock in Vue rear hatch

Just noticed this last night.... Unlocked all the doors with the fob but found the rear hatch was still locked. I was able to unlock it with the key and it opened. Plus once it was unlocked with the key, the fob was able to lock and unlock it as normal.

Tried it again this morning after temps below freezing and the same thing happened. I can hear the "kerchunk" sound of the solenoids disengaging, and all the doors could be opened but the hatch again required the key.

I know it was quite chilly around here last night so maybe the lubricant inside the hatch lock mechanism was a bit stiff. Perhaps a quick shot of graphite lubricant or something a little less viscous is in order?

Any other ideas or should I head back to the retailer?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

I wouldn't use graphite. Many lock cylinders are plastic these days, and certain materials aern't good for them. Take it back and get it replaced

Okay thanks for the advice. I'll have them look into the intermittent "service wrench" light too and see if a code comes up. And maybe order a set of shop manuals while I'm at it!
