![]() Okay I have a 2000 L 4 Cyl. It is leaking (slowly) from where the heater hose connects @ the firewall. It seems to be the stupid quick connect. My question is if there is an O ring there? Can I just cut off the quick connect and put the hose straight to the pipe that comes out of the firewall? It's the one on the drivers side (return???).

![]() Read past threads about replacing the O-rings; an arm and a leg for dealer ones or very cheap at neighborhood stores with O-rings like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.. The hard part is sizing one but also posted in the past here. One member had to buy 100 of them as bulk and gave away any first-come-first-serve. Approximate size; 3.5mm thickness, 26mm O.D., 19mm I.D. or 1/8th in. thickness, 1 in. O.D., 9/16th in. I.D.. No one has done what you're suggesting and went with the O-rings.
