Flashback Friday: More Saturn "Did You Know?" Facts

Quote:
A few weeks ago, in another episode of "Flashback Friday," I posted some not-so-well-known Saturn trivia bits. Folks seemed to enjoy taking a look back at Saturn while testing their knowledge of both the company and cars of yesterday. As a result of the feedback, I've compiled another list of "Did You Know?" Saturn trivia facts for your viewing pleasure.

The info on reducing packaging waste was pretty impressive. I was a little less taken with the bit about the oil cartridge (instead of spin on filter) for the 2.2 and 3.0 engines as in the L series. I'd rather have paid $20 extra as an "environment fee" to have spin on filters, myself!

The 2.4L Ecotec also has the cartridge oil filter. It's so easy to get to, and so much easier, not to mention cleaner, to replace. Only have to crawl under the car for the drainplug is nice. I don't know why you'd rather have a spin-on filter.

X2. The cartridge is much bettter. no reason to like a spin- on filter better.
