Default Paint Code

Anyone know where the paint code is for our cars? All I can find in the VIN.

You'll find your paint code on the black label on the passenger side B-pillar.

Actually you won't. Your dealer should have written it down in the service booklet though.

I can speak to this personally as I recently tried to have my car's few paint chips touched up. We looked high and low to try to find the paint code but we came up blank. I would be really interested to know IF the paint code exists on US bound cars. We ended up looking in the sales (build literature) for the vehicle.

When I needed the code for touch up paint I found it on the Saturn website when you choose to build a vehicle it listed the codes there on the color option boxes you can select if you hovered over the color the text box displayed the color code. Not sure if they are still there havent looked.

On all the other North American built Saturns there is an RPO code sticker placed on the door jam or in the glovebox. Not so on the Astra. From what I can tell, the Astras come with a paper code sheet (image attached) which I found in the glovebox on the display model. Hopefully they haven't been throwing those away when they prep the cars for delivery.

Also, you can always call your friendly, neighborhood Saturn Store with the VIN & the parts counter should be able to pull up the paint code at any time.

Additionally, I'll list the Astra paint codes in my next post...

its highly likely that it is lighter....or darker....touch up paint rarely matches perfectly. Too many variant shades in any given color.
