![]() I seem to recall that although these vehicles were distributed and serviced from California Saturn facilities, GM made it clear at the time that they were not Saturns.
Given what's happened in the world since that time, it's kind of a shame that the Saturn brand wasn't more strongly associated with electric powered vehicles. It might have developed into a brand identity that would be very useful in today's marketplace.

![]() Here you go; http://www.ev1.org/chevron.htm
This was buried to keep viable electric cars off the road as they don't contribute to the oil economy's philosophy of making the USA dependent on oil. Its been buried enough until now with the groundswell of overpriced gasoline forcing the public to exert their concerns on our politicians to scramble for excuses when asked repeatedly about alternatives with no real commitment in legislation. Ask yourself why we haven't had electric cars as simple plug-ins when they were proven and available back then?

![]() First off, you NEED to see the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car ? " (If you haven't, Most libraries can get it from documentaries) You would find out they were all leased without an option to buy, and after GM promising to at least donate some of them for training and such were all DESTROYED after a lengthy vigil, protest with a Huge check to buy the remaining EV1's.

![]() chill out guys gm is building the Volt for sure and chrysler came out sometime last week. They revealed that they will have three electric cars for sale in 2010, including the Town and Country EV, Wrangler EV, and a sports car EV (Dodge). You can check these out here: http://www.chryslerllc.com/en/ Seriously guys, electric vehicles are coming back and coming back fast. Expect the Asian automakers to follow suit. This might be the steroid injection the US Automakers need.
