Default Advanced 2-way Remote

Onefunkar, amyers and anyone else the works for Saturn,

Any idea when the advanced 2-way remote will be available through Saturn?

I know it's been available GMC/Buick for a while. Also, know that those will work for the Outlook. I need to get it through Saturn, the dealer "owes' me, and says it's not yet available.

I was told some time ago that there wouldn't be one available from Saturn.

I called the parts department of my local dealership a couple of days ago and the guy said it's scheduled to be available this month but not 100% sure that it will happen this month. Hope this helps..

Excuse my ignorance here, but what exactly is a "advanced 2-way remote"?

As it applies to the Lamda vehicles anyway. Thanks.

I just got my 2-way remote in today. They only give you one. It's about 2 1/2 times the size of the normal remote. I haven't installed it yet but it looks like an easy install. The location of the antenna is a little weird though. It goes back in the 3rd row window and it gets glued to the plastic around the glass. They say that you have to put it there to ensure that it will work properly. I'll update once I install it(probably later on tonight).

Yup. I'm in Derwood. Used to take my vehicle to the Gaithersburg dealership but my last service I took it to your location. Automobile Blvd. correct?

I got the remote hooked up today. It doesn't take that long to install. I did the wiring myself and had a tech do the programming. The remote tells me my mileage, fuel level, tire pressure, it has a clock and it can be programmed to run two cars with remote start. It is supposed to work the radio controls also like changing tracks and scrolling through your preset stations. I haven't tested that function yet.

Thanks, not too worried about the Ion. I got a Crimestopper in that one already that works great. Too bad I can't get my installer to hook up the auto start (being that my car is manual).

My last service was in June. I'm probably due for another service appointment soon. May have to look into that 2-way remote. How is the range?

I haven't really tried the range out yet. It is supposed tobe 2-3 times the distance of the normal remote.
