You don't have to think too far back to remember when the subject of this week's "Flashback Friday" was built. While the anniversary of the first Saturn to roll off the assembly line in Spring Hill, Tennessee is next week, I thought that this week it would be fitting to feature the last Saturn ever built at that plant.

I'm glad to see they put it in the Heritage Center. An appropriate destination for what was truly the last of it's kind.

I was wondering whether the last polymer bodied Saturn was an ION or a VUE.
I guess this answered my question.

There were also rumors at the time that the last one went into a rental fleet.

Hmmm. With a dummy rear antenna and a change of wheel I could be driving a replica Heritage Center Edition ION....

You'd probably also need the silver interior trim pieces and a different radio

For some reason, I find it funny/odd it is an Ion 2. Wouldn't you think the last Ion, being special or what not would be a totally loaded up 3?

"2007 Saturn Ion 2 Sedan. Last Ion ever produced. Complete with power locks, and that's about it."
