Default Vue Radio Conversion?

I have the stock CD/Cassette option w/o the 6-cd changer. Can a changer be added w/o swapping out the radio??? If so how and can someone recommend one? What make is the stock one?

Thanks

You should be able to add an aftermarket CD changer to the sysem with a remote control and have the face plate installed in the space below the HVAC controls. Check out your local stereo shops. The Saturn radios are made by Panasonic.

Talk to your dealer. Most likely they can install the 6 disc changer, and make it look "factory installed"... But then again you will be paying factory prices, which may add up to lots of $...

If not it would be wise to add an aftermarket cassette / CD head unit, which would run about 150$ for a decent one, and then have a changer installed (which would be in glove box or trunk, or center console).... Both can be had for well under 400$ installed, and will have better sound than your factory unit. (circuit city, best buy, etc.)

I wouldnt go to the dealership for something like that just go to one of the electronic superstores like best buy and get one there. They have ones that work in any car.

The only CD changer offered by Saturn for the VUE is the CD/Cassette w/ 6-disc changer head unit. There is no slave CD changer available...... sorry . You'll have to search the aftermarket for that.

You know, this brings up a good point. I have the CD/Cassette combo, but I also have On-Star which is interconnected with the head unit (some-how).

Do they make after-market head units that support On-Star?
