Default Keeping up

Hi.

I have an Ion and I want to make it faster. My buddies have a Mazdaspeed protege, WRX's with lots of mods, and one bad-ass camaro, and I want to be faster than them.

Is there software for my ion so I can tune the car myself with my laptop? Can I put a turbo on it and get a blow off valve? Will the blow off valve make it faster? I know I have a lot to learn.

Thanks in advance.

-Injectordutycycle.

wait for tuning because, no there isn't any set in stone programs yet for our cars. Either that or find someone willing to make a program for your car, they do exist. But until then, you CAN turbo it up to 350 whp and all you NEED are pistons and rods. But I recommend a head, big bore TB, and header-back exhaust and ... tuning.

Yeah, and don't forget about 5 grand in other mods, hell, you coulda bought a R/L version and maybe kinda sorta kept up with them.

You would probably take the Mazda with the R/L W/ stage 2 up-grade, but that's about it, unless your buddies really don't know how to drive a fast car.

if you have an ION with the 2.0L or the 2.4L HPTuners has your tune. Vector has a canned tune. If you have the 2.2 you have no tune.

a moded 2.2 wont keep up to a moded wrx or a mazda speed unless you redo internals.. but you can beat mustangs and camaros from a roll with about $1500
