Default 2000 sc1 - Wet trunk

I have water leaking in on the driver side of my trunk. I found that it is coming from where the rear window edge and metal is seamed inside the trunk. Did any body have this problem and how did you resolve it?

I had/have a leak in 96SL trunk...

Generally it helps to clean off the elastic/'rubber' seal and the metal (trunk) mating surface. Then check alignment/fit. If OK , try a silicone spray/grease to soften the rubber and exclude water from the joint.

I think it coming from a seam. I can see it thru a hole inside the side of the trunk. Any ideas how to repair?

I think your best bet would be to remove the quarter panel and reseal the leaking seam.

How hard is it to take the rear quarter panel off?

I had the same problem on my 2002 SC1. Took off the rear quarter and slathered the area in seam sealer.
