Default 2009 Model Year Vue

What are the changes for the 2009 model year VUE, besides the 2-mode plug in Hybrid?
Will there be any new exterior, and/or interior colors?

vues already have a compass unless it was an early one. should find out the changes in april. im sure there will be alot of little improvements but not style change as it was new for 08. all 09 saturns will say saturn on them so people will know what they are.

Some people have been hoping for the DI V6, which would add about 20 horsepower. But maybe that's already known to not be coming?

My AWD XR lacks the compass ... when I asked Saturn about this, I received conflicting answers on the fix, whether it was to be in the mirror or back in the DIC ... do you have confirmed information which was the actual solution?

Are they fixing those of us who found out that we didn't have a compass by way of a slip of paper tucked into the manual (although not a deal breaker - would have been good to know that before I signed all the paperwork)?

We also were suprised to find that without warning, the new Vues being delivered to the Saturn of Portsmouth dealership (as of the middle of February) were re-including the previously omited '08 compass feature... how's that for corporate speak?

Acording to Document ID: 2049347, RE: # PIT4415A...

""Condition/Concern:
The compass does not display in the driver information center (DIC). Vehicles built prior to 11/09/2007 did not have a compass. Starting on 11/09/2007 these vehicles are being built with the compass

Recommendation/Instructions:
If the vehicle in question was built prior to 11/09/2007, do not try to repair the compass concern since the vehicle did not come with a compass. We can not add the compass option to vehicles built prior to 11/09/2007.

The owner manual page 3-47 and page 4 of getting to know your Vue brochure states the compass displays in the DIC. Due to the timing of the compass delete, the owner's manual and getting to know tour Vue brochures were already printed and could not be changed. The owners manual has a disclaimer at the front of the manual "This manual includes the latest information at the time it was printed. We reserve the right to make changes after that time without further notice""

Bummer. On the bright side, as long as I can see the mountains, I don't need a compass

The reason they omitted the compass is because it only points south.

Back to the subject...here are my needs:

1) Telescoping and more downward steering wheel, like my Acadia. The Vue's don't tilt for crap.

2) Better mpg would be great, even a couple miles.

3) Center arm rest that stays put.

4) Better spot for the heated seat buttons.

5) Rear window cleaner that doesn't dribble out.

6) DIC

I'm still on the fence about a Vue or CRV. Waiting for more info on the 2009and hoping my wife's van can hang around another few months.

Looked at a Vue, ended up with a CRV instead.

Information on the '09s should be available starting early April. I'm waiting it out to see what has changed before making my decision too.

I'm with you on the steering wheel and mpg's. They're gonna be the deciding factor as to whether or not I go for a CR-V instead of the VUE. Off the top of my head, I dont recall if the CR-V has a telescoping steering wheel, but I do know that I'm not gonna shell out $25,000 on a VUE if I cant get comfortable in it.

Exactly my thoughts. I found that I wasn't uncomfortable in the '08 but I was not exactly comfortable either. If you push the seat all the way back (as I do as I have longish legs, I'm 5'9", not exactly a giraffe) the steering wheel is too far away. If I move the seat forward my legs are too close to the pedals. This car needs telescoping pedals or a telescopic steering wheel badly. I could deal with the issue well for short trips but spending an hour in the Vue was more of a chore than a pleasure. Surprisingly, the Outlook seems to be miles ahead in terms of comfort. You would think GM would have at least sat in their own cars before marketing them. Though it seems like a small issue, I think it is enough for some buyers who spend alot of time in their cars to buy another brand.
