Default anyone have a FAST saturn?

i never hear anyone hear talk about any impressive times. i'm talking 1/4 mile, not 0-60 times for you Warios out there.

so post some of you times guys. i was curious to see the fastest time anyone has pulled off with a non turbo/supercharger/nitrous car. but anyone just post times and what you did to get there

Well, with the bottle off I have gone 15.66 before. That's not too shabby for an SL2 automatic on a new engine and transmission.
Just for those interested, my fastest time on the bottle is 13.86.
You can see a picture of the ticket here: http://sl2dragster.us4n6.org/13_86.jpg

Sorry, I don't have a picture of the ticket (15.66) without nitrous.
Guess I figured on keeping the ones that are the fastest overall..
*lol*

I have a 96 SC2, intake and header back exhaust. Automatic

I don't have a scanner, soo this will have to do. They aren't that great just yet so they should not be hard to believe.

where exactly do you guys go for your time trials? Im having a hard time finding one here. Do the local speedways do testing, how do I find out? I live in CO Sprgs, CO if anyone knows of anywhere I can test my car in the area....

For now though I'll have to run on the dyno and do a standing 1/4 mile.

Pueblo Motorsports Park (PMI) is probably the closest to you (for a dragstrip). There used to be an 1/8 mile track near Ellicott, but it closed years ago. Bandimere Speedway is another option, but alot farther away than PMI. Lots of good roads around there for testing with a G-Tech or something like that--Marksheffel Road has a couple of good straight, flat stretches with no side road access.

If you want to stay legal though, call PMI and see what they have going on.

Stock my car managed a 16.82 @ 84.42 MPH @ 5280 ft above sea level.

With mods, I ran a 16.2 @ 89.13

Stupid Colorado and it's elevation

I believe that we have close to, if not the fastest naturally aspirated time out there with a 14.7 at 93 mph in our 94 SC2. The car is gutted/etc and dyno's 123 hp to the wheel, which is actually pretty low compared to a previous powerplant incarnation we used. For comparison, Lane's car dynoed 122 and ran 15.9-16.0's or so. Removing weight is a good thing. =)

Considering I also have a green 97 SC2 with pretty much the same mods, I'm hoping to hit a similar mph in the quarter at my track which is at sea level.

Auto/all the bolt on's, ran a 9.98 in the 1/8th. I wish we had a 1/4 mile closer than 1.5 hours away!

I'm in Fort Collins at 4600 feet, and I've been to Colo. Spgs. with my 93 SC2 and chirped mine easily.
