Default Need help for Tune-up on Honda V6 Vue

Hey guys,

It's time for a tune-up on my 05 vue, it's at 80km or 50miles. What plugs should I use?

Has anyone ever tried using the SEAFOAM through the intake on this engine?

I'm going to upgrade to K&N drop in filter and just clean it every 5 months.

Honda 6cy Don't touch it, not your typical vehicle needs no maint. only gets bettter the older it gets. Really just oil and air change. No seafoam on this baby, I just changed the o2 sensor with 250000 miles on a honda accord, saw no change in gas mileage or driveability

I second that. I wouldn't bother with the seafoam, or the plugs for that matter.

You could check the plugs, but they're probably all fine.

Keep up with oil and air filter changes and you'll be golden.

I put a K&N filter in my 4 cylinder over 3 years ago- haven't cleaned it yet. I take it out and inspect it every so often, but it doesn't need to be cleaned that often.

When you look at how clean the oil is at 5000 miles usage, and how clean the tailpipe is after 50,000 miles, you have to figure this engine runs very clean and doesn't need the SeaFoam treatment. I'm going to pull the plugs out of mine at 50,000 miles just to say I did it and make sure the threads aren't seizing up.

If you have no major change/degrade in gas mileage then why mess with it by using the seafoam?

Do a tranny flush if you already haven't.

Keep in mind that a tranny flush on this model involves simple drain and refill cycles. Don't let a shop hook up a pressurized flushing machine.
