Also one of the best things about this deal is that it's from Walmart, and if you use the ship to store option, it's free shipping and you can return it instore if you end up not liking the unit for any reason for the full price.

i dunno. Sounds pretty feature-filled, but to me for some reason i just don't trust Walmart car audio stuff. i gave $1300 for a Kenwood nav system and i didn't want an off brand. i stick with brands i trust like Kenwood or Pioneer. It's just like the Ugg boots i wear-they make some that look just like them that cost half as much, but they're (at best) half as good, and in most cases total crap. Looks good on paper.......but how good is it really?

Cheap stuff is cheap for a reason. These are the things I see wrong with it already.
Motorized face - I give that about a year of working, maybe less 80x4 Amp - Lies. maybe 80W peak and some retardedly high THD. If you want to to stay clean and RMS i'd wager closer to 10W. No navigation ability - whats the point of a retarded screen with no nav? Most likely poor filtering - Chances are high you'll get alternator whine. You get what you pay for with most car audio stuff.

From the early reviews Ive seen on this unit, most of the quirks are with the firmware, I agree about the touchscreen being pretty useless with no nav, but I've got a portable nav anyway. The pictures of the screen were pretty sweet, I dig the SD card slot that is video enabled and there's also a pretty cool feature of ripping mp3's onto your usb from a CD, and for the price of a nice pioneer/eclipse unit you can probably pay 5 times as much. I was reading 35x4 in some of the threads listed above for the power rating, seems to be a little more realistic. I also think the one of the biggest advantages is that you can take this back instore for a full refund if you dont like it.

Got it all installed and I have to say this this unit is pretty nice, it's not comparable to a 1000 dollar unit from a name brand manufacturer but the sound quality is nice, they screen is very nice (this part is comperable to a 1k unit) and the price is VERY NICE.
Pros Picture quality as good as name brand SD card slot that is video enabled Plays all my burned stuff Will encode CD's to MP3's and push them to your mp3 player Fills up the dash hole nicely Cons Menu's arnt that attractive and there are buttons that are disabled because they used the same firmware for multiple units. Touchscreen is cool but can get annoying if you have to hit a button multiple times (like changing the radio station) but with presets it's not so bad. Radio has a scrolling text box at the bottom of the radio that just says "Advanced Car Entertainment System" over and over again, I usually end up turning the screen off and leaving the radio. I'll post some pictures later. ... I'm with CoCo !

Yes there were a few "problems" but nothing a good dremel couldn't fix, the double din kit I ordered was nice but the opening wasnt big enough, I had to cut about 1/4 of an inch on three sides (2 sides and the top think like a big plastic staple). Also I ran into a problem with it the rca connections stickning out too much in the back, I hat to cut a chung out of the black plastic in the back, nothing too major, I did all the priwiring before I put it into the truck, this will save you alot of time, also make sure you ground the pink wire to the metal frame you can see inside the dash, this will allow your front passenger to view dvd's while the vehicle is in motion.
I'll take some pictures tonight I'm out working on getting one of my back sreens back operational, the power is grounding out somewhere and blowing the fuse. ... I'm with CoCo !

I says $268.88, not $199 and I still don't trust it. I'll pay the $700 for the Kenwood unit. And it says out of stock.

The deal is dead, it's oos and the price went back up some. Uzzy, this deal was not meant for someone who would actually put down 1k and buy a radio because I'm not saying it's as good at the name brands, it's meant for the "ballin on a budget".
I'm very pleased with the unit and will keep it unit one with nav and bluetooth gets real cheap. ... I'm with CoCo !

It looks pretty good. You could put the pics one on top of another, instead of next to each other.

I just installed the version of that that comes with bluetooth. The manual says that you can connect a GPS antenna to the unit...not sure what it shows when it is connected. I haven't tried the bluetooth to play songs from my phone or make a call yet though, it was late last night when i put it in. Couldn't find my dash kit, so I have space around the unit. What i did notice when installing it in my 03 is that i had to have the face in the down position to get the dash piece to clear the radio and the bottom of the radio hangs a little over the fan speed knob. I also noticed once when switching between DVD and the main menu it seems that the unit hung up displaying both screens side by side. Do you get a blue screen when playing music through the AUX?

your going to get a bluescreen when playing through aux because it's it also has a video input for that aux (I use mine for the ps2 I have installed) the best way to use this with a do this with portable music would be to dump alot of songs on a 2 or 4 gig sd card (you can get them for like 20 bucks if you look) and just use i that way, I havnt tried the usb connection yet but that is supposed to be a viable option as well, also if you have an ipod they have a zpod link which is supposed to display and possibly control your ipod from the touchscreen, I dont have one of those either so I cant comment on that feature.
