I will hit 79,000 in a couple miles. I am the original owner of a 2000 LS1 and I keep it well maintained (synthetic fuids, follow the maintence schedule for a heavy use vehicle). Runs great, no problems worth mentioning, Except for this occasional squeek/ rattle in the middle of the dash....... New Clutch assembly and tail lights both replaced under warranty.

Love the car. I am quite certain it is good for another 79,000+ and the only thing I really need to do is do a better job of cleaning the interior.....

I have a 94 sl1 with 174,000 miles....i owned chevettes for the past 12 years and just got this saturn and love it. I know there is alot of talk about sl1's being slow but compared to what i have been driving, it seems fast.

106K on our 2000 LS2. The only trouble we've had is an exploded battery (removed the battery blanket and threw it away) and the hinge on the center console broke. Oh, yea... both sway bar links have worn out, sloppy and started knocking. It's an easy/cheap fix though. Just annoying to have to do it.

We also use fully synthetic lubricants. (M-1 if you're interested)

My only complaint is the timing belt that comes on the V6. I need to get on that right away but I'm too stubborned to let the dealership do it and I can't find the alignment kit to do it myself.

Purchased 3 years old with 70,000 km

200,000 km on 2000 ls1 4cyl. lots of problems 2 timing chains and new cylinder head $5,000. Defective ignition module failed the catalytic converter 1,500. Rear Wheel bearings $1,200 , Cooling Fan Control Module and Power Control Module $1,000 etc etc etc.

I tend to stick with cars for about 12 years so we'll see if I finally get my money out of it. Won't continue with it past the next major failure.

My brother in law has 500,000km on a Toyoto Tercel, might be my last GM.

Live in Oshawa where the largest North American GM Assembly plant is so thought I would give them another shot.

I'm pretty sure the timing chain will fail again, soon. Might be worth changing it on spec.

2002 LW 200 has about 190,000 mi.
Never rests. Changed oil, tires, axel, fuel pump, headlight switch and some emmisions sensor near the fuel tank filler tube.
I think it has the original plugs?
Still runs well and looks like new. I'd consider replacing engine and tranny if these ever wear out.

What do you mean by tired? I have exactly the same number of miles on mine. I need new tires and need to replace a bent rim. Otherwise, this car is running very well.

Idle is generally very smooth and the car seems to accelerate almost like new.

I bet I'll get 200k out of it easy.

2001 L300 107k miles

engine is still running like new

interior is getting a little noisy, but not bad

129,000 on a 2001 L200.

The only problem was that the o rings in the heater core had to be replaced (under $1, my labor).

I can't over emphasize the importance of oil and filter change every 3000 and to flush the Auto trans at 30 -40K. Change the brake fluid at 30K and the power steering fluid at 50K. Antifreeze at 30K.

If you don't do that maintenance, don't complain if you have problems.

Antifreeze lubricates the water pump, which is a pain to change.

Power steering fluid becomes contaminated and can lead to premature failure, which is expensive.

It's a lot cheaper and easier to flush the auto trans fluid every few years than to repair or replace thge transmission.
