Question Blinging SECURITY LIGHT in Vue

After I Lock my Vue using the remote (which also engages the security system) I see the Security light inside the vehicle blinking all night long. Is that normal? It does'nt mention that in the owners manual.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Yes, it's completely normal ...... now try to get some sleep instead of watching the blinking light all night.

Happy

Also yes, it serves as an Alarm light to let people think the car is armed. Weird thing is Saturn uses Amber color instead of standard red blinking....

But that's just trying to catch people's attention.

Alot of car manufacters use the amber light. nissan etc..it flashes in the dash "Sercurity"

Aftermarket alarms use a red led

Oh I would rip the factory alarm out, and go aftermarket...b/c the factory alarm does nothing if someone breaks your windows..just my .02

My wife has aftermarket. The alarm does nothing if you break the windows (It has switched truck hood and doors but has a cut off). If someone wants your car and they are a pro nothing will stop them. Sometimes just get in take airbags and out even with the alarm going off . People like setting off alarms on their own so nowdays no one pays attention. I know someone in the Bronx has had 2 air bags stolen on her Saturn. Now she drives with no air bag
