Question Juicy gossip, Astra based Suv.

From the July issue of Automobile

"Small Saturn Crossover:
Saturn's all new Vue is just hitting the market, but divsion may add a smaller crossover based on the Opel\Saturn Astra"

any ideas what they are talking about?

I think that a smaller SUV would be great for Saturn.

Sounds good.

Love that small Mazda MPV, it's a brilliant idea since all the small SUVs ["Rav4 is 40 % BIGGER inside " ] and "Mini" Vans have become total pigs when it comes to size and weight and fuel consumption. Currently people are getting over their repulsion of hatch backs, this could be what they prefer. Dodge seems to be selling a lot of Calibers. It may be an idea whose time has come.

At least get there 2nd GM......

Is the Zafira based on the Delta platform? As I (and a few others have been saying) we need the Zafira here NOW! (just give it a different name, please)

EDIT: Ok, I checked. It is on the Delta platform which means that is likely what they are talking about. And since GM stopped calling their mini-vans "mini-vans" instead going for "sport crossover" or something like that, I bet the Zafira is what they are talking about And they really do need to change the name. Just look at what comes up when you type "Zafira" into wikipedia. (not for kids)
