Question The 12 Volt Outlets in the Vue

Can any small appliance like an electric shaver, hairdryer or fan be plugged into the 12 volt outlets in the VUE? Is some kind of conveter needed, or even available?

There could be a line of under-20 / under-15 amp devices that are included on your list. I have a 12VDC electric ice scraper, car vacuum, and air pump. A shaver could be fesible, perhaps a small fan, but a hair dryer is a bit out of the question.

You could also check into a DC-to-AC power inverter. The higher wattage units (above 150-200 watts) will require a direct connection to the battery. You probably also want to be running the car You would be able to run a small hairdryer from an 800-1000 watt unit..

Nah, you'll need gas for that

Ive operated a small TV, VCR, and boombox off of a 150 watt inverter and a deep cycle battery. Perfect for those 20-miles-away-from-electricity camping trips.

Cool Mr

I found an automotive DC to AC Converter at Crutchfield.com for $39.95. I wonder if I could hook-up my lawn mower to that.
